I’m not sure I believe in courses I never have, but I have seen Mail rise and rise again and fail it each time and I my heart is broken because I don’t understand. However, if there was one member still alive on that team, their time is coming up.

Great video, although a few points to mention. You make very little mention of Northern Ireland before addressing in a hypothetical world it would reunite with the Republic of Ireland, I would argue that it's a Celtic Nation in it's own right. When mentioning the nations in the UK, you again forget about Northern Ireland, and also include the Isle of Man, which is factually incorrect. Again when mentioning the breakup of the UK, Northern Ireland isn't included on either of the maps, and the Isle of Man is, even though it's a crown dependency and not part of the UK. Other border disputes would likely happen at along the Cymru/England border, in towns such as Chepstow & Hay on Wye and the English city of Chester. Thanks for covering this topic, would love to see it happen. Maybe one day. Diolch

I was an English visitor a few years ago so found this very informative but l have a couple of questions l hope someone can answer. First, the climate. I was told depressions generally track over Donegal and then onto Scotland. When the weather here is fine, it’s usually worse over the rest of the British isles. Is this true? Second is more cultural and controversial. I love going to Ireland, know my history and try to be respectful. I felt some, not exactly hostility but let us say a frisson in Donegal which l have not experienced elsewhere in Ireland. i can understand why people might feel hostile but l was not sure if it was me being over sensitive. There were times in pubs where l felt the sound of an English accent was an intrusion into something. Would like to hear some Irish views on this.

This is informative for sure but you mentioned “the great famine “ a number of times. Although it is still thought in schools as most of our accepted learned knowledge was written by our oppressors. It is however now widely recognized that no such event ever took place in Ireland ( most of our patriotic songs tell the true story ) People starved for sure …..but due to more chilling reasons . It would be much more accurate and appropriate to omit such stories from accounts of Irish history.

Went to Edinburgh in search of a better life , where my dad was born, then to America where depression was rife , then back to Edinburgh.I was born in Edinburgh in 1948 one if five children.I have this loving feeling which draws me to this land and it’s people . God bless Ireland 😊
